Jay Franklin

Franklin co-founded BBI Sports Group with partner, Jeff Frye in 2002. Franklin played high school baseball from 1984 to 1986 at Spiro High School in Oklahoma. He played collegiate baseball from 1986 to 1988 at Westark Community College in Fort Smith, Arkansas and from 1988-1989 at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Franklin was selected in the 8th Round (7th pick) by the Texas Rangers in 1989. After 4 years in the Texas Rangers organization, Franklin was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the Major League Baseball Rule V winter draft. He played for the Chicago Cubs organization for the next 3 years. After which Franklin played in the Mexican League for the Monterrey Sultanes & Aguascalientes Railroadmen, winter baseball in the Mexican Pacific Coast League for Hermosillo Orangemen in and in the Chinese Professional League for the Tai-Chun Bears. After retiring in 1996 Franklin spent a year working for the Cleveland Indians in the scouting department before making a comeback in 1997 with the Triple-A Mexican League Cordoba Caffetarros. In 1998 through 2000, Franklin worked for the Scott Boras Corporation and has been a certified MLB Player agent since 1998.
Franklin resides in Spiro, Oklahoma with his wife Carrie and their 3 children.

Jeff Frye

Frye co-founded BBI Sports Group with partner, Jay Franklin. Frye played high school baseball from 1982 to 1984 at Panama High School in Panama, Oklahoma, played collegiate baseball from 1984 to 1986 at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma, and from 1986 through 1988 at Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma. Frye was selected in the 30th round by the Texas Rangers in 1988. Frye logged 3 winters in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League before making the Major League club in Texas in 1992. He spent the next 9 years in the Major Leagues playing from 1992-1995 with the Texas Rangers, from 1996-2000 with the Boston Red Sox and then was traded to the Colorado Rockies in 2000. In 2001 Frye played for the Toronto Blue Jays. While in Toronto, Frye became one 1 of 2 players in the history of the franchise to hit for "The Cycle" along with Kelly Gruber. In the 2002 season, Frye signed 2 different minor league contracts with the Cincinnati Reds and then the Houston Astros. Jeff has a career MLB batting average of .290 and Frye has been a MLBPA certified Player agent since 2002.
Frye resides in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife Staci Frye and their 3 children.

Jim Schwanke

Schwanke has been part of the BBI Sports Group team since 2007. Schwanke played high school baseball at Sahuaro High School in Tucson, Arizona where and his team won the 1973 State Championship. Jim played collegiate baseball at Yavapai Junior College where he was the captain and short stop on the 1975 National Championship team. Schwanke was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 1975 amateur draft, but chose to attend the University of Arizona where he was part of the 1976 NCCA National Championship team. After the 1976 college season, injuries forced Schwanke to end his playing career . Schwanke was hired to coach at Oklahoma State University in 1977. Schwanke helped OSU gain national prominence by leading the Cowboys to 3 College World Series appearances and 6 Regional Championsips. Schwanke's success at OSU enticed the powerful Louisiana State University Tigers to hire Schwanke in 1996 . During a 5 year span at LSU, the Tigers won 3 NCAA College World Series Championships. Schwanke's eye for talent, recruiting success, and hitting instruction earned him national acclaim. Schwanke left coaching in 2000 to become an agent advisor. Schwanke has helped high school prospects, college prospects, and their familes with their career and draft decisions at all levels.
Schwanke resides in Frisco, Texas with his wife Stephanie and their 2 children.
